Some new features introduced in future versions may require a small subscription fee. All currently existing and some new features will be available without a subscription fee.
Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

• Beaconing has slightly stricter requirement for position fix accuracy (200 meters) to reduce jumping around a lot when inside without GPS coverage

• Map: Road traffic layer is now disabled by default due to app crashes in the traffic layer code. Can be re-enabled in app settings.

Skärmdump från en iPhone med appen APRS pro. Det går att "sända" sin APRS-position via 2G/3G/4G/Wifi med en iPhone eller en iPad förutsatt att det finns en GPS i enheten eller att den fått sin position på annat sätt. Appen kan generera en APRS-TNC ljudsignal så att med en FM-station kan en APRS-repeater på 144.800 MHz ta emot positionen och skicka den vidare ut på nätet. Det går även att med appen ta emot en APRS-repeaters ljud för att dekodera den. Med appen kan anslutning ske till satellittrackers som t ex Spot. En bra funktion om man t ex befinner sig i en nödsituation i fjällvärlden utanför täckningsområdet för mobilen eller om man vill meddela t ex anhöriga om var man befinner sig och sträckan man ha vandrat.
